Projected Capacitive Touch Screen Technology
Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT; also PCAP) technology is a variant
of capacitive touch technology . All PCT touch screens are made up
of a matrix of rows and columns of conductive material , layered on
sheets of glass . This can be done either by etching a single
conductive layer to form a grid pattern of electrodes , or by
etching two separate , perpendicular layers of conductive material
with parallel lines or tracks to form a grid . Voltage applied to
this grid creates a uniform electrostatic field , which can be
measured . When a conductive object , such as a finger , comes into
contact with a PCT panel , it distorts the local electrostatic
field at that point . This is measurable as a change in capacitance
. These kind of the touch screen are well used in many
applications.

Installation way of Touch Panel
Note 1: In order to make a touch panel work normally, please make
sure that the host device is grounded.
Note 2: All environmental characteristics listed above should be
less than 1 atmospheric pressure.
Note 3: The touch panel must be assembled with LCD panel by VHB or
other materials, the control board should be fixed on LCM bezel or
other mechanical parts of the system and then be grounded; In ESD
test, the touch panel should work normally and there should be no
damage to the appearance, when no static electricity discharges.
However, irregular changes like display flickering are acceptable
when static electricity discharges.
Note4: The touch panel may be damaged functionally or work unstably
if the panel are not be grounded though your system to earth.
Note5: In order to make a touch panel work normally, power supply
or power adapter has to conform to IEC 62684.

Packaging way of Touch Panel :
Put 5pcs inside a box, each piece is separated by a piece of
expandable polyethylene. Make sure FPC is not twisted and
protective film remains
smooth.
Put two boxes into a large carton, fill the empty space with
expandable polyethylene.
